Medical jousting is a negative criticism of one doctor by another doctor in front of patients. Some doctors due to professional jealousy, follow this practice which is responsible for deteriorating image of medical profession and increase in filing of cases of medical negligence. Indian Medical Council (Professional and Ethics regulations 2002) prohibit medical jousting.

So, it should be stopped for a betterment of the medical profession. What is your opinion?
