In present scenario where doctors are treated as businessmen and medical profession as a high yield business, with risk to our medical fraternity, I would like to know, as medico’s should we strive our brothers, in case they commit some mistake, which may range from insulin over dose to leaving the gauze at the site of surgery, which they may have done inadvertently, by covering up their mistakes in public, media, during second opinion and courts of law, may be by modifying our statements, expert views/advice and reports. This, although unethical, but I feel is the need of the hour, because the way we’re treated is also not in anyway ethical.
