Direction of Medical Education in the country is decided by influential doctors; the whole plan is doctor-centerd, not community oriented. The SSS will decide the direction of medical education in India- there lies the problem; For framing a health policy we need to hand-pick doctors who are community oriented and are least influenced by the companies – make sure they have a vision for improving health care in the society; There are no true GPs now, A few remaining GPs in India are demoralsied and bewildered becasue of the scene that the SSS is walking away with all the credits and there is no support to the GPs from the govt.
