A 72 years old male non diabetic non-hypertensive used to alcohol consumption with CAD WITH PTCA with stenting done recently with history of focal occipital lobe related visual phenomena taking carbamazepine with history of delirium tremens, on abstinence presented with history of burning of right thigh and relieved on sitting on ground increasing on sitting on chair from last decade. Medical management has been tried, still taking gabapentin to no respite, incapacitating condition, nerve conduction study not done, wants neurolysis or sectioning of the lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh.
What can be done, where and when to get it done and results to be expected? Has someone done a series of cases in India?
