A seventeen-year-old teen age girl from a remote place with her mother and aunt enters in OP with an anxious look. In Indian society a girl child should not have physical disability?even in remote past at age of marriage. Naturally same tabu of society was also reflecting on face of mother as well as daughter. Coming to case discussion, she had vomiting and upper abdominal pain for 15 days. As vomiting was not subsided with local treatment, she was evaluated at town level with Ultra sound and followed by CT scan.
Her CT scan reported around 4 cm mass lesion at medial side of third part of duodenum abutting pancreatic head. Patient was advised complex surgery with possible complications and long term sequalae.
