Metoclopramide injection is more effective and safe in controlling nausea and vomiting in LSCS — than Ondansetron. Metoclopramide enhances Gastric emptying and more effective than ondansetron. Ondansetron in doses is used now — is not so effective in controlling nausea and vomiting. Often we need to Give metoclopramide after Ondansetron, to stop vomitings. Over exaggerated Extrapyramidal reactions are very very rarely seen.
And easily controlled by any of the Benzodiazepines. Midazolam, Diazepam, Lorazepam etc. Kindly share your experiences.
