Modified radical mastectomy involves removal of the breast along with nipple areola complex ,an ellipse of skin with a 2cm margin, axillary tail of Spence and levels-I, II, III lymph nodes and preserving the Pectoralis Major, the nerve to Pec major, Nerves to Serratus anterior and lattismus dorsi and of course axillary vein.
