One would not be surprised to notice that many a times doctors would be seen loitering on road with stethoscocpe hanging around their neck, many a times on scooter and sometimes in car. So much so once I saw a doctor with stetho around neck in a public transport bus. Do they want to impress the people or influence the traffic police ?
Possible that to keep the stethoscope in pocket may damage it but that is no fair explanation without work being in progress. I noticed that when such tactics are used by doctors, many of the onlookers look with a 'jaundiced eye'. One may have a sense of pride being a doctor but can the above action be justified ?
