Stenosis in two or more epicardial coronary arteries is defined as multivessel coronary artery disease (MVCAD). MVCAD is associated with higher mortality and poorer prognosis than single-vessel diseases. Medical therapies, including antianginals, statins, antiplatelet medications, coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), are available to treat MVCAD. However, these therapies are performed based on the severity of ischemia, distribution of the vessel obstruction, and the presence of comorbidities.
