Dear sir/ Madam, I am working as Associate Prof in a private medical college in Solan (HP). I am already registered for my MBBS and MD in MCI, New Delhi and my name is already in Indian Medical Register. Today I received a letter from Himachal State Medical Council (addressed to our principal) for mandatory registration with them as we are working in Himachal. Earlier I worked at Govt Medical college in Uttrakhand as Assistant Prof. for five years but neither the Uttrakhand state Council nor MCI inspectors objected to my MCI registration and never asked me to go for Uttrakhand medical council registration.
The Himachal council people are asking us to cancel our previous registration by getting NOC and then register there. This is nothing but mental and financial haraassment and unnecessary wastage of my time and money. Can any friend please guide me in this regard. What are the…
