Multiple myeloma (MM) can be briefly described as a clonal plasma cell malignancy that accounts for around 10% of hematologic malignancies. Commonly characterized by end-organ damage—renal impairment, hypercalcemia, lytic bony lesions, and anemia; the diagnosis of MM is often difficult due to non-specific symptoms. Therefore, a longer time is required for the diagnosis of the disorder, which in turn leads to more complexities in patients.
In this video, Dr. Shoufeej P.M discusses diagnosis, management and treatment regimens for MM in a nutshell.
