A government hospital in Mumbai has suspended three doctors following the death of a hospital employee who allegedly waited for three hours to receive emergency medical attention. The victim, a sweeper at the hospital, sustained a head injury and required emergency treatment. According to CCTV footage obtained by the police, the injured patient was waiting in the hospital corridor outside the ward for treatment. He was wearing a cloth bandage around his head. Three hours later, he was found dead in a wheelchair.

The sweeper’s family staged a protest, accusing the doctors of negligence. The hospital’s senior officer formed a committee of doctors from other hospitals to investigate the incident.
