The CBSE had organised NEET for admission to undergraduate medical courses in government and private medical colleges in the country on Sunday. The humiliating incidents at yesterday’s NEET – 2017 not only surprised the aspiring candidates, but also compromised their confidence at the examination venue. The exam had listed out guidelines of certain do's and don'ts for the students. The don'ts included big buttons, brooches and high-heeled shoes for female candidates and kurta-pyjama for male aspirants.

In a rather strange move to prevent cheating, a female candidate who wore a pair of jeans was asked to remove a pocket as well as metal buttons from her clothing. Her father said that, “He had to run 3 kms from the exam centre to buy a new dress for his daughter”.
