Malnutrition cannot be cured by just nutritional counselling and providing extra food. A study revealed that the root cause of malnutrition is a damaged gut resulting from vaccine failure. Thus, an infected and inflamed gut is incapable of effectively absorbing nutritional element supplied in the form of extra food to malnourished children and showing no sign of recovery from the condition.
