The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test β Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 following allegations of a paper leak and growing concerns over the integrity of the examination process. The decision came after the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested alleged masterminds Manish Yadav and Rakesh Mandavriya in connection with the leak. More than 22 lakh students had appeared for the examination conducted on May 3, 2026.
In an official post on X, the NTA stated that, in continuation of its press release dated May 10, 2026, it had referred the matter to central agencies on May 8 for independent verification and necessary action.
