The transition of a neonate from intrauterine to extrauterine life may not always be smooth. Some degree of resuscitation may be required, depending on the neonate’s breathing capacity, muscle tone, and gestational period. About 10% of newborns require some assistance to begin breathing at birth, while less than 1% of neonates require extensive resuscitation. Thus, neonatal resuscitation is a critical procedure performed to avoid the risk of irreversible organ injury and death due to the inability of infants to breathe on their own.

To gain more insights, we have organized an informative webinar with Dr. Vijayanand Jamalpuri , an expert Neonatologist, where he will discuss “Neonatal Resuscitation” on 23rd February 2022, 6:00 PM onwards. Stay tuned!
