A 62 year old hypertensive and dyslipidemic but non-diabetic male came to the OPD with a blood report that showed leukocytopenia (TLC- 3700/ cu mm, N54%, L44%). His other blood parameters are WNL apart from a low PCV but normal Hb% and platelet count. On evaluation of his history he complains of no fever, weakness, chest pain, dyspnoea, skin rash, joint pains or any other symptoms. He though reports of weight loss over the past several years.

He is currently on Amlodipine 5mg for his hypertension (which he has been taking regularly for last 10 years) and tab Rosuvastatin 5mg (for last 5-6 yrs). On examination, his vitals are WNL, examination of respiratory, G.I, CNS are unremarkable. A chest skiagram done few months back was WNL. Kindly share your views on the cause of such leukocytopenia and management.
