Once the physicians become successful in their daily practice, they may want to venture into other fields. In Indian scenario, one of the easiest options is to accept the positions of guest/ adjunct/ visiting faculty in the departments of medical schools. Another option is to become an entrepreneur and venture into something big, such as founding a hospital/ nursing home. A school of doctors has preferred management positions in private organizations after graduation.
Again, a handful section of the clinicians is involved into research and development in private and public sector and even less number of doctors are currently working as an investigator in clinical trials. What suggestions do you like to give to your peers regarding the most suitable option for a new career venture?
