A new agent ( NVR 3-779 ) is in phase 2b trial as a new agent that is found to cure HBV infection via viral's core inhibiting mechanism. It is very effective when given in a dose of 600 mg twice daily for 4 weeks. The incoming days may show good news in approving this agent for a successful eradication of this virus among infected individuals.
It's implementation may be for single use or in combination with the available agents. The promising and interesting issue of this agent is it's different , for the first time introduced mechanism of action, namely by it's viral core inhibition.
