In the last few decades, there have been heavy listings about governing roles, composition, accusations of bribery, and lack of accountability of the Medical Council of India (MCI). For encountering above problems, the National Medical Council (NMC) Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 29 December 2017. However, since its enactment, the bill has led to mixed reactions from doctors, while some might be supporting, many aren’t sure about the provisions in the bill.
