Junior doctors spend a long time mastering medicine, but unfortunately, lots of them find that they don't get into the clinical specialty which they wanted, simply because there aren’t enough post-graduate seats available. They get frustrated, because the paid seats are exorbitantly expensive, while the others are so fiercely competitive that they may have to wait for years before they get in. They get frustrated, and then either try to go abroad or to change their specialty. This is not a great solution, given the fact that they have already invested so much time and energy and in learning medicine.
