A meta-analysis of cardiovascular outcome trials found that GLP-1 receptor agonists significantly reduced major adverse cardiovascular events, cardiovascular death, and all-cause mortality in type 2 diabetes, with effect sizes amplified in older individuals and those with higher baseline BMI.
