According to a recent study conducted by researchers in Russia, a new pharmacological agent (SS-68) can prevent a wide range of disorders including cardiac and brain injury induced arrhythmias. Furthermore, the findings revealed that SS-68 significantly increase the coronary blood flow in case of clogged arteries.
So far, the preclinical findings demonstrate that SS-68 outperforms current drugs (amiodarone, lidocaine, aymaline, ethacizine, and quinidine anaprilin) in most of the cases but warrant further studies into the molecular mechanisms of SS-68. Source: Research Results in Pharmacology
