A multicenter, cross-sectional real-world study in China evaluated a novel two-in-one insulin pump in 47 adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) who had used the device for at least three months. The innovative pump features switchable tubeless patch and tubed portable modes, with standard or short cannulas, providing greater flexibility for long-term insulin delivery. Participants achieved a mean HbA1c of 7.2% and a time in range (TIR) of 74%, while time above range (TAR) was 17.9% and time below range (TBR) was 8.1%, indicating that hypoglycemia remained above the recommended target.
Compared with pre-pump therapy, 55.3% and 53.2% of participants reported fewer hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic episodes, respectively. The pump also improved patient experience, with 78.7% reporting better wearing comfort, 76.6% improved overall quality of life, and 48.9% greater confidence and freedom in dailyโฆ
