This decision comes shortly after the entry of lower-cost generic alternatives, which have disrupted the pricing landscape following the patent expiry of semaglutide in India on March 20. The most notable revision is seen in the starting dose (0.25 mg) monthly pen for both Ozempic and Wegovy, which has now been priced at Rs 5,660.
