Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs are extensively used in all the branches of medicine and surgery. The use of NSAID's has time and again generated a lot of discussion and numerous analysis have been carried out studying its effect on the function of Kidney and the RAS system. The cardiac problems especially, in elderly have been attributed to NSAID use, in many articles too. Naproxen which had shown some Cardioprotective feature in period studies was recently labelled as unsafe as other NSAID's.

Opioids have their different set of actions and adverse reactions. The use of NSAID's becomes quite requisite in many cases therefore what according to my fellow colleagues and seniors, should be the order of the day in oral and IM, IV routes. Any inputs will be highly appreciated and helpful for all.
