Two doctors and the management of a private hospital in Tauru, Nuh, have been booked for alleged medical negligence after reportedly removing the gall bladder of a 24-year-old man instead of treating a urinary tract stone, police said on Wednesday. According to officials from the Haryana health department, a medical negligence board determined that the patient’s gall bladder was healthy and did not require removal. The board also found that hospital records had been altered to falsely indicate consent for two procedures, including a cholecystectomy, while the patient’s attendants had only approved surgery for bladder stones.
