60 years old, mild Diabetic lady, healthy, was coming to me for treatment of dehydration due to loose motions and pain ABDOMEN for last 4 days, I was treating her with iv fluids 1000 ml daily for two days, meanwhile she went to her ophthalmologist as she had pain in her rt eye ( already pt of glaucoma). Ophthalmologist gave her 350 ml mannitol iv stat and cap Acetazolamide 250 mg TDs for two days, from there pt came to me, I looked papers and I was in fix, I explained pt of opposite nature of treatment and refused for further treatment from myside. NEXT DAY AT 10 AM PATIENT WAS BROUGHT TO ME SEVERE DEHYDRATION AND SQUEEZED FAINT PULSE, BP 40 MMHG ONLY, At one I started iv fluids with 21 gauze niddle ,and 1500 ml fluid in 3 hours, +one Tab of DISPIRIN.

pt became normal, went walking. Urgent INVESTIGATIONS sent were SODIUM 124 MG POTT 4.0 MG ,CH 109 MG ,BLOOD SUGAR 226, AFTER HYDRATION…
