Two articles, on the so-called doctor's mistakes, were posted and discussed recently in our forum. I carry a slightly different opinion, hence I am humbly trying to address the issue in a fair perspective. I am of the opinion that there is widely accepted notion and mix of lapse, deficiency in service, drug reaction, adverse result, the error of judgment, noncompliance on the part of patients, vicarious responsibility and civil /criminal negligence. There's nothing like the mistake in the profession of medicine.

No doctor ever commits any mistake. Once they agree to a verbal agreement to treat the patient in the best possible manner to the best of their knowledge and capability, he or she does her best to fulfill it.
