Many people face a variety of occupational hazards at their workplace. Some of these factors can also lead to disorders due to long exposure or intolerability. Occupational rhinitis is one such disorder that develops due to work conditions. This article will provide  an overview of occupational rhinitis.

Occupational rhinitis (OR) is defined as "an inflammatory condition of the nose, which is characterized by intermittent or persistent symptoms (i.e. nasal congestion, sneezing, rhinorrhea, itching) and/or variable nasal airflow limitation and/or hypersecretion, due to causes and conditions attributable to a particular work environment and not to stimuli encountered outside of the workplace".
