Synopsis Experience of deliberate pain while injecting an anesthetic is a fear-inducing factor in pediatric dentistry. It significantly affects physiological signs like hypoxemia, tachycardia, injection phobia, etc. Hence, pain management is an important aspect of dental practice. Several methods like cold-pack, warm-pack, rubbing, pressure, acupuncture, distractions, etc., have been assessed for pain reduction in children.
