Pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCN) are pancreatic cysts that manifest as non-malignant and malignant cysts. Generally, PCN are incidentally identified during routine imaging tests. Managing PCN largely depends on the size of PCN, the presence of a mural nodule, pancreatic duct dilation, and associated clinical symptoms, which help doctors develop a patient-centric treatment plan and decide to do internal surveillance or perform surgical resection.
