Management of infant nutrition is critical, especially in the early years of a child’s life. A well-balanced infant diet helps reduce the risk of chronic disease and promote mental and physical development. According to the World Health Organization estimates (2018), around 2.5 million children died worldwide due to poor nutrition during the first month of their lives. Among many factors, lack of awareness and myths related to breastfeeding play a significant role in increasing the mortality rate of infants.
To support child survival and development, it is crucial to provide proper nourishment through breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months and follow guidelines for child growth.
