A 54-year-old post-menopausal woman presented for a routine check-up. She had a medical history of endometriosis that had been confirmed by laparoscopy. She had undergone surgery about seven years ago, followed by hormonal therapy. Laboratory test report: Hemoglobin: 14 gm/dl Leukocyte count: 8,200/mm Platelet count: 3,44,000/mm Serum amylase level: 198 IU/L (normal 30-110) Serum lipase increased to 1461 IU/L (normal 27-280) All other test results were normal. A deep screening was done for pancreatic alterations.

Serological tests for hepatitis and HIV viruses were negative. Investigations were done for tumor markers and autoimmune diseases, but all were normal.
