21Y/F, C/O irregularities in menses, acnes, Hirsutism & weight gain.She is on thyroxine (25ucg) since 6 months when she was first diagnosed with Mildly elevated TSH (6.5) with Normal T3 n T4. Her USG was S/O Polycystic Ovaries (Rt.ovary 3.3*3*1.3 n Lt.ovary 3*2.9*1.4). Her doc. Put her on Tab.Cyproterone Acetate/Ethinyl Estradiol for 3 weeks n Tab. PCO care 1-0-1 for 2 months. Now she came to My Clinic with same persistent complaints of Irregularities in menses, Hirsutism n weight gain.
Her TSH is (0.320) now with T3 68.29 N T4 7.61. She repeated her USG again showing Polycystic Ovaries but dis time Dimensions of her right and left ovaries are mildly decreased when compared to first report. Additionally, I have asked her for TPO n ATG AB test, USG neck, FBS and PPBS, Lipid Profile. I have Reduced her dose of Thyroxine to (12.5 ucg). What else can be done in such kind of patients? Can…
