Portable and Low-Cost Detection of bacteria by IIT-G

In today’s fast pacing and busy lifestyle, illness and death due to bacterial infection is a matter of big concern despite the advancement of a wide range of antibiotics, the biggest challenge now; is to detect and diagnose bacterial infection in the early stages, because the present identification techniques tend to be very costly and time taking . In a landmark discovery, the scientists of IIT-Guwahati have developed the first-ever diagnostic device for bacteria, which works almost instantly and are both low costs and less time taking.
