Vernal plaque of shield ulcer  corneal dystrophic manifestation of v k c has the following features: 1 Horizontal or oval  2 Grey or amorphous  3 Present in the upper part  4 Resists wetting  5 Does not respond to acetylcysteine  6 Sometimes may have to be removed by surgical means
