A diagnostic study involving 66 POAG patients and 35 controls evaluated i solated-check visual evoked potential (Ic-VEP) alongside blue-on-yellow perimetry for early glaucoma detection. Ic-VEP achieved 74% sensitivity and 91% specificity (AUC 0.785) , with its signal-to-noise ratio correlating significantly with visual field loss and ganglion cell complex thickness (p < 0.05) . While agreement between the two tests was modest in early POAG (κ = 0.226), it improved in moderate to severe disease (κ = 0.672). The combined use of Ic-VEP and blue-on-yellow perimetry may enhance early detection and support timely intervention in POAG.
