Nobody knows that my own uncle was once deputy speaker of 6th Lok Sabha... I stayed with him in Delhi when he's an MP during 1975. He's also Rajya Sabha deputy chairman during 1972-77. He started his political career along with Sri X of the Samata Party and later joined Indian National Congress.
Well, you can see me in this picture along with the then Defence Minister, Sri X when he had visited the Bhachau sector of Bhuj during the well-known Earthquake of 2001. I was in charge of the Operation Theatre of Bhachau for a record period of three months during those earthquakes and aftershocks. I must have given anesthesia to thousands of people those days at Bhachau and interestingly, not a single death. Believe it or not, I was a huge fan of Sri X and his style of working and thinking...
