Dear All , Kindly give your valuable opinion. I Would like to know the exact criteria for Promotion to the post of Professor in a Medical college recognised by MCI. As per MCI's Latest Amendment , i n terms of Gazette Notification dated 03.11.2010, the following shall be substituted as under: “Four Research papers accepted/published in index/national journal as first/second author on cumulative basis.
Out of these four research publications minimum two research publication must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor.” There is no clarity regarding "Research papers" , Also before 2013 july whoever was Promoted to the post of Associate Professor ( including myself) , do they require 2 0r 4 Publications to be published in Journals if supposing they have been promoted without any publications before 2013 july ??? We had a Letter from MCI ( from Consultant of PG studies)…
