Pulmonary function test (PFT) is designed to differentiate between obstructive airway disease and Non Obstructive airway disease, a simple but valuable test in pulmonology medicine. Lower respiratory tract disease can be one of the predisposing factor for Cardiac pain abnormalities as both heart and lungs are dependent on each other. As a routine for a chest  pain patient we are advising  ECG, TMT, Stress  ECG, TMT, cardiac CT, cardiac Angiography, cardiac enzymes, lipid profile etc which all are meant to evaluate cardiac disease.

As our airway is affected by smoking (active or passive), air pollution by rubber burning, vehicles, industries, aeronautical, war materials and due to Infections and sedentary life-style.
