In yet another case of a quack nuisance, a clinician who claimed to be an Ayurvedic doctor specialised in the treatment of piles, left a 39-yr-old man bleeding from his back, in a semi-comatose sta te. A quack and his associate escaped after risking a patient's life by operating on his haemorrhoids with a knife and without anaesthesia. A 39-year old patient from Thane, went to a local clinic to seek treatment for his piles. After examining, the clinician dissected the haemorrhoids that lead to severe pain. Moreover, he pacified the patient by saying everything would be fine.
After several hours, he could barely talk and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a corrective surgery to stop the bleeding.
