A teenage boy from Bihar’s Saran district tragically died after an unlicensed practitioner allegedly performed gallstone surgery by following YouTube tutorials. The patient, suffering from persistent stomach pain, was taken to a private clinic in Saran by his family for treatment. According to the boy’s grandfather, the quack sent him to fetch diesel while the boy’s grandmother stayed behind at the clinic. Upon his return, the grandfather was horrified to find the quack conducting surgery on the patient while watching a video on YouTube. Disturbingly, the quack had not obtained consent from the boy’s family.
