It is no secret that in spite of such a vast medical manpower in our country quackery is still flourishing in big cities and in villages. Anybody can start medical practice and style himself as a doctor as he chooses to. Performing eye operations by razor blades mostly in the north is well known to be mentioned. In our country, there are about more than 10 lacs of self-styled doctors i.e. Quacks who are indulging in giving all sorts treatment to people.
Since the government has not put any restrictions on them strictly it can be presumed that the government allowing them to carry on their practice and indirectly recognizing them as medical practitioners. Law has to come forward to take cognisance of all these, identify the people and bring the culprits to book. But the government itself has brought the courses like AYUSH etc. Enough damage has been already done by neglecting this…
