Ectopic pregnancy is a life-threatening medical condition in which the embryo grows outside the uterus. Ectopic pregnancy constitutes 1.2–1.4% of all reported pregnancies and can further lead to morbidity (tubal rupture and intra-abdominal hemorrhage) and mortality.
