As a medical practitioner, I am really surprised to know that legibility of drug prescription, use of generic above brands etc. in the clause of MCI ethics rule is only recommendatory, not at all mandatory. I fully agree with prescription's legibility but how a good brand can't be used?
Once it's availablle as per our choice for the benefit of my patients, who are suffering from a long-term illness like stroke, epilepsy, PD and even migraine. If the government really wishes 'wealthy' nation, why can't they ban branded and provide quality assured generics? Please share your views on it.
