A high-fidelity gaming device is ready to be in the market that will help to train surgeons in a virtual reality platform. The old approach of 'see one, do one, teach one' is no longer viable for cutting edge students of surgery, doctors and even for patients who are well informed and educated in clinical aspects. The generation that have grown spending hours on computer games and the world of virtual reality would be happier to adopt the same technology for their medical training too.
In line with this idea, Last month, a group of scientists, videographers and surgeons lead by a French engineer, Remi Rousseau, made a historical attempt, capturing an entire surgery in 3D and then turning it into a virtual reality experience.
