Recently I have come across a young female patient who was operated for LASIK 3-4 years back for high myopic refractive errors. Vision at present is 6/12 p OD n 6/9 OS uncorrected. However, she complains of repeated styes in both eyes. She has been adviced regarding hygiene but the styes persist.
Healing with antibiotics and hot fomentation but the styes reoccur. What are the treatment modalities for her to correct her vision? Is it logical to go for LASIK for such small corrections of -0.75 n --0.5d respectively?
