I have been going for a regular health check up with my spouse for the past 5 years now. You pay a sum . You spend all the day in a (5 star) hospital running around from one lab to another. And at the end, a consultant circles your abnormal lab and other tests and prescribes medication. No regard to your actual physical history/age or their relevance, forget about even touching you for an examination-except to take samples and BP. And if you tell them you are a doctor , they relax completely, not even bothering to do anything ,expecting you to manage on your own.
So now I have stopped mentioning this fact and on every visit , make notes on what to do/not to do with a patient. Does any one have experiece of a genuine health check up plan somewher in Mumbai which one can recommend /use fro oneself? Something which is age dependant? Some thing which actually adds value?
