Dear esteemed colleagues, A Female, 75 years old was diagnosed T2 DM 25 years ago. She was on medications and latest started by doctors in Delhi was Linagliptin and Glimepiride. Glimepiride was discontinued about 8 months ago as she had one or two episodes of hypoglycemia. She is on Linagliptin once a day. She had repeated attacks of hypoglycemia since yesterday. She was given 10 Dextrose and 5 Dextrose 1, bottle of each. She did better. Her BS was 40 yesterday when she had attack of Hypoglycemia.
Post that it was 60 and PP was 134. This morning she had another episode of unconciousness and BS was 48 at 5 AM. After starting a drip of 10 Dextrose she is better and now takes breakfast. Pulse, BP normal. She was on Cetanil 10 mg for Hypertension. Reports: Hb 7, TLCDLC Not Significant, ESR 110, Urine : RBC ++ Pus Cells 20 -30. Urine CS Ecoli.
